The akb is going to appear in the new Joan Sfar movie "the Rabbi's Cat" (le Chat du rabbi).
The band spent a few days in the studio in Paris to record the music written especially for this movie by composer Olivier Daviaud .
One of the highlights of these sessions was the collaboration between the AKB and ENRICO MACIAS, famous jewish singer from French Algeria. He became famous in the 60 with songs like j''ai quitté mon pays and l'Orientale.
the film will be ready in may 2010.
The akb members are all working on a big pile of new repertoire . A new cd release is coming up! We'will keep you informed!
LOWLANDS AND THE VIDEO
On August 21 the AKB played a show at the biggest festival of Holland: Lowlands!

WE ARE BACK FROM BRAZIL So we are back from õur tour in Brazil. It was an amazing experience to play and hang out in Sao Paulo and Recife/Olinda , and meet all these amazing musicians and lovely audience.. Brazil we love you!
The summer tour 2009 is over... In June/july/August the band has toured in Portugal, Italy, France, Swiss, Austria, Belgium Germany and in september Brazil. So far the gigs have been great.

Amsterdam Klezmer Party at Sziget
It was hot, a full house and everybody was really enjoying themselves during the concert of the AKB at Sziget. After the band was announced by the enthousiastic frontman of Gogol Bordello, Eugene Hutz, the party was ready to begin. And it surely was a big party. Some say the best party of Sziget 2007.
